DEPT® names new America’s leadership and doubles down on challenging traditional networks and consultancies
Global digital agency DEPT® has appointed Carryn Quibell as the new CEO of the Americas to support the growth of its multi-service client portfolio and delivery of integrated tech and marketing solutions in the region. In addition, Jon Judah joins as the new SVP of Clients and Technology for the Americas, a role previously held by Quibell.
Quibell will lead the agency’s 1,500+ team in the region, and join the global executive team, to accelerate growth and deliver pioneering customer experiences, campaigns, and solutions that set standards for the next era of Commerce and AI transformation.
In less than 10 years, DEPT® has grown from a local specialist agency to a global technology and marketing services company, with nearly 50% of revenues coming from the Americas. The agency has expanded from local, single-service clients to emerging as a challenger to more traditional networks and consultancies, supporting predominantly multi-service, global clients like Google, DoorDash, United Airlines, eBay, Under Armour, Canva, and Twitch, particularly in the Americas.
“I couldn’t be more excited to lead the DEPT® team in the Americas because of the potential we have to disrupt the agency landscape through our ability to tie Marketing & Technology together to help our clients realize tomorrow’s possibilities today,” said Quibell.
Quibell previously served as DEPT®’s SVP of Clients and Technology for the Americas, where she was instrumental in shaping the agency’s commerce and enterprise technology solutions teams in the region. A true entrepreneur at heart, she was previously Partner/President of Manifest Digital, founder/CEO of Marmalade Consulting, and Partner/Co-owner at Melon. DEPT® went on to acquire Melon in 2022.
Judah joins DEPT® from Huge, where he was previously Chief Strategy Officer and Global Client President. With a history of helping clients use marketing and technology to drive growth and market expansion, including Home Depot, Sotheby’s International Realty and Mattel, Judah will be focused on deepening DEPT®’s relationships within the technology sector.
“Many agencies are trapped between trying to scale while still learning and building new capabilities, leaving their clients with mediocre work that lacks breakthrough impact,” said Judah. “DEPT®’s ability to be ‘big enough to cope but small enough to care’ resonated with me as a way to build deeper relationships and the client confidence that leads to truly pioneering work.”
“Carryn’s client-centric leadership and commitment to world-class and world-first solutions and delivery make her the perfect leader for the next phase of our growth in the US and broader Americas,” said Dimi Albers, Global CEO at DEPT®. “Her entrepreneurial drive and dedication to our culture will make a difference for our clients and our people. And Jon’s long track record of driving innovation and strategic solutions will be a valuable addition to our strong US design and technology practice.”
