DEPT® announced as headline partner for Digital City Festival 2021
DEPT® is a Headline Partner for the 2021 Digital City Festival. Following the inaugural event this year, where DEPT® was named Digital City Champions, the North’s biggest event for the digital industry is getting reimaged into a truly digital experience. DEPT® is excited to play a vital role as a top sponsor, helping to mould the content pillars of the festival and filling the schedule with keynote sessions and fringe events.
Digital City Festival is the annual event series exploring what makes a leading digital city. Across two weeks of events from 12 – 22 April 2021, the festival will gather thought-leaders from around the world to address the key challenges facing people, businesses and governments as we emerge from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“DEPT® was Digital City Champion at the 2020 festival, and we wanted to continue our legacy as being a huge supporter not only of the Digital City Festival, but also the wider community, “ said Brian Robinson, Managing Director UK at DEPT®. “Together, we have the opportunity to shape our collective digital future, and the Digital City Network and Festival is an ideal place to collaborate.“
At this year’s event, DEPT® exhibited in the expo, led a talk on ‘The Art of Human-first Creativity’, hosted two fringe events and the ultimate after-party. To wrap up on a high note, DEPT® was crowned Large Digital Company of the Year at the Digital City Awards 2020.
The 2021 programme is being steered by an Advisory Board made up of the region’s digital leaders ranging from local politicians and advocates to Marketing Directors, CIOs and MDs.
DEPT®’s UK Marketing Director, Mellissa Flowerdew-Clarke, is a member of the board chosen to represent digital innovation, one of the festival’s four key pillars alongside culture, tech for good, growth and productivity. She said: “I’m meeting with some of the brightest minds in the industry to shape the 2021 festival. It’s exciting to not only play a significant role in the event itself, but also its transformation.”
“It’s been a tough year for everyone, but we’ve seen how innovation has helped businesses pull forward in a sink or swim scenario. Merging technology, creativity and data has allowed organisations to accelerate their digital business and become future-ready. The same principals have been applied to managing remote teams and hosting events, which we’ve seen here with the Digital City Festival reinventing itself.”
Participants and attendees will discover the latest innovations and get inspired on topics related to tech, marketing, e-commerce, media and creative — and beyond. Will you join in? Register for 2021 and stay tuned.
