Meta Festival attracts 6,500+ visitors and 100+ speakers to the groundbreaking virtual world Metapolis

More than 6,500 attendees gathered in the highly immersive, all-new Metapolis metaverse world this week for the first-ever 24-hour Meta Festival to hear from hundreds of leading web3 innovators, brand marketers, futurists and technologists. Several hundred others tuned in to live streams on YouTube, LinkedIn, Twitter and Twitch to take a peek into the metaverse in the festival organised and co-founded by global digital agency DEPT® and JOURNEE – The Metaverse Company.

Inside Metapolis, attendees were free to explore five stages focused on Pop Culture, the Betterverse, Immersive Experiences, Diehard Tech, as well as the Main Stage which featured live programming across three time zones in Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas. Speakers on these stages included experts from Netflix, Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, and more. Each stage had its own theme and several screens for tuning into talks from experts. Metapolis also featured a Playground with fun workshops, karaoke, live magic, cocktail classes, yoga and an NFT workshop. Attendees could also browse an NFT Gallery inside of Metapolis to purchase a number of custom NFTs created for the event.

On the Main Stage, attendees heard from experts focused on Web3, pop culture, innovative trends to watch, the tech behind the spatial web and how to build a better Internet. Speakers included web3 experts Cathy Hackl, Paula Kilgariff, Diego Borgo and Gmoney, as well as leaders from Google Cloud, Ready Player Me, The Volkswagen Group, H&Mbeyond, HAPE, The Fabricant, Coca Cola, WIRED, disguise, Burberry, Heineken, Salesforce, DRESSX, Headspace, Decentraland, Epic Games, Algorand, PwC UK, Campaign, Forrester and more.
