DEPT® was named Digital Innovation Agency of the Year for the second consecutive year by Campaign US. This award recognises how we are setting standards for the industry and our continued growth over the past 12 months.

“In 2023, we continued to scale by expanding our global footprint, solidifying our full-service offering, and future-proofing our business by embracing the disruptive potential of emerging tech”, said Dimi Albers, Global CEO, DEPT®. “We’re pleased to be once again recognised for our relentless focus on our clients and in pushing the boundaries of innovation.

Each year, Campaign US Agency of the Year Awards recognise inspiring leadership, creative excellence, and outstanding business performance across agencies. In addition to showcasing brilliant work and talent, this year’s entries highlighted the evolution agencies are undergoing to stay at the forefront of a changing world for their clients. Once again, the program underscored that creativity and innovation, often led by agency partners, enable brands to break through the clutter.

Setting standards for the new era

In 2023, DEPT® grew to more than 4,000 employees on five continents and surpassed the half-billion dollar mark for revenue. We won competitive pitches for clients such as Netflix, DoorDash, United Airlines, Canva, and Logitech, and grew our relationship with existing clients eBay, Meta, Moodys, and Google.

The jury recognised DEPT® for the depth and breadth of the work we created for some of the world’s biggest brands. See Yourself in Sound represented a new direction for Bang & Olufsen, connecting the brand with Gen Z through a digital experience that brings to life each person’s musical tastes in the form of a unique interactive avatar. For Gucci, we created an immersive digital experience that allowed fans and customers to watch the catwalk, explore behind-the-scenes content, and learn about the creative process.

Finally, in partnership with the ReflexAI team and Google.org, our teams designed HomeTeam. This training tool uses AI technology and machine learning to empower veterans to provide peer support to fellow veterans with mental health challenges. With its educational modules, users learn life-saving tactics and practice them in AI-powered chat simulations, preparing veterans to have impactful conversations with their peers in the real world.

2024 continues to bring industry-wide recognition for DEPT®. We won 14 Anthem Awards for our work for clients such as Google, eBay, and the Van Gogh Museum, and we were named the inaugural EMEA Agency of the Year at the Digiday Awards.
